Have you got a ticket to the Festival of Writing 2019? Then join this group!

This is the place to meet people before you go to York in September 2019, as well as swap notes on one-to-ones, workshop sessions and Book Labs.

We can't wait to see you there!

For delegates travelling by car, this may be useful. My car's SatNav accepts the postcode as shown in the welcome pack, but won't allow me to enter the other details as suggested in the welcome pack. Neither will my SatNav allow Newton Way, York which is the road leading directly to where it all happens. In a previous year, it took me some time after arriving at the university, with just the postcode on my SatNav, to find the festival location. However, if you have a similar issue, you may find that if you use Heslington (the area name) instead of York, you can then enter Newton Way and all will be well. Once you turn onto Newton Way from Heslington Lane, it's very hard to go wrong as you just have to keep driving until you see the Campus South Information building (huge sign) on the Roger Kirk Centre. Car Parking either side.

Looking forward to the festival with just a little trepidation. I've been to most of the York festivals (missed last year) but this is the first where there won't be a big group from the old WordCloud forum, who have been eagerly planning, chatting and discussing the get together for months. Very much looking forward to meeting some folks from the Townhouse!

Looking forward to meeting you at York, fellow "intendees" of the JW FoW. I've got a big new notebook, have sent in the paperwork for my 1:1s and my packing list is going through its third edit. What are you most looking forward to in the Festival?

I've never been to such an event before.  Looking forward to it with excitement and some trepidation.  However, if you are going to do something, do it properly.  I am entering all the competitions.
